Claudy Is a Top Scorer on CPA Exam in Pennsylvania

Claudy, KathrynPittsburgh, PA – Grossman Yanak & Ford LLP (GYF) is pleased to announce that Kathryn L. Claudy, an associate in the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Services Group, was one of the top 15 scorers out of more than 750 candidates who successfully passed the Uniform CPA exam in Pennsylvania in 2015.

The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) released these statistics reported from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), the governing body that oversees the administration of the CPA Exam. Top scorers are determined from the individual’s combined scores on all four sections of the exam (Auditing and Attestation; Business Environment and Concepts; Financial Accounting and Reporting; and Regulation.) Test takers must demonstrate mastery of the material by completing multiple-choice questions, written responses and task-based simulations.

Claudy, a 2015 graduate of Grove City College, began her accounting career with Grossman Yanak & Ford LLP, where she had previously served as a summer intern. Claudy specializes in providing assurance services, including audits and reviews, for a wide range of businesses and nonprofit organizations.

“Despite her young age, Kathryn’s knowledge, commitment and attention to detail make her an excellent accountant. She takes great pride in doing the best work for our clients,” said John Yanak, GYF Managing Partner.
