NetSuite Release 2021.2 Sneak Peek

NetSuite is currently in the process of rolling out the 2021.2 Release that will provide new features, functionalities, and enhancements in the NetSuite environment.

Some of the highlights of the new release include:

  • Get paid faster by adding a payment link to invoices. Now customers can easily pay online or via ACH electronic payments. New features automatically match imported bank payments to open invoices and create purchase requisitions across subsidiaries.
  • Optimize fulfillment by automatically allocating inventory to sales orders based on gross profit or revenue. Reduce manual work with a new feature that generates lot numbers automatically. Increase warehouse efficiency using the quick-ship pallets feature.
  • Eliminate manual calculations by automating 401(k) employer matching contributions using new rules-based formulas. Add more flexibility to retirement plan contributions by automatically determining catch-up amounts based on age-based eligibility rules.

The scheduled upgrade is occurring in three phases. Current NetSuite clients should refer to the New Release portlet on your Home dashboard to review your upgrade date and time. NetSuite users can opt-in to the Release Preview test environment to check out functionality prior to the official release (navigate to Setup > Company > Release Preview). This will give you the ability to test drive the new features before you go live! With the new release coming soon, we recommend that you request a Release Preview account if you would like to test any customizations (approvals, scripts, etc.) and daily job responsibilities (transaction creation, approval, printing of checks/forms, etc.). The preview is available a month before your account is scheduled to upgrade.
