Coming off a highly positive first half of 2021, the third quarter of 2021 slowed down with decreases in growth in the public markets. Monetary policy has been instrumental in the performance of the markets and the economy since the pandemic began. However, now that the economy is recovering and inflationary pressures are rising, the Fed has indicated that it will soon begin tightening monetary policy.
