Firm Accountant/
HR Audit Associate

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials. Public accounting experience is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational and written/oral communications skills are also desired.

The GYF Firm Accountant/Audit HR Associate works directly with the Firm Administrator to maintain accurate records on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. In addition, this position requires close association with the Assurance & Advisory Services Group management team to perform HR-related duties.

The Firm Accountant role includes a variety of accounting tasks such as:

  • Provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information to management by posting transactions and analyzing accounting data.
  • Produce monthly financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
  • Verify entries to reconcile processed work and compare system reports to balances.
  • Review daily time entries for accuracy and post time to time and billing software.
  • Run daily and month end reports from time and billing software.
  • Conduct month end close of completed client projects.
  • Run billing reports and generate monthly bills.

 

The HR Audit Associate duties include:

  • Schedule client assignments for Assurance & Advisory Services Group through administration of the scheduling system.
  • Assist in CPE planning, reporting and execution for Assurance & Advisory Services Group.
  • Participate in interviews and recruiting for intern and new staff candidates for Assurance & Advisory Services Group.
  • Administer onboarding training schedule for new personnel.
  • Conduct periodic check-ins with audit staff.
  • Administer client service technical tools like PPC and Portal.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Front Desk Receptionist

This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in an office environment providing clerical and/or receptionist duties. 

The Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact between our Firm and those who visit or call into our office. This individual welcomes clients and visitors as they enter the office, answers phones and supports the Firm’s professional staff. The Front Desk Receptionist also assists with a broad range of other administrative tasks including, but not limited to: typing, filing, copying and scanning documents, scheduling and documenting calendar meetings and events for member of the Firm, performs general office functions and other related work as required. 


The Front Desk Receptionist role includes a variety of tasks such as:

  • Provide impressive service while greeting guests, answering phones, relaying messages between clients and staff, and communicating with all personnel.
  • Schedule meetings between personnel and clients via phone calls, Zoom Video Communications, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Maintain overall clean, professional office environment in all common areas, including kitchen, conference rooms and reception area.
  • Receive and route incoming mail and packages to personnel.
  • Assist personnel with typing, scanning and copying documents.
  • Take daily inventory of supplies and restock as necessary, including copy machine paper, coffee carafes and kitchen supplies.
  • Wipe down kitchen and conference room tables, clean coffee carafes, and organize receptionist area each night at close of business.
  • Adhere to client confidentiality and all Firm policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Internal Audit Associate

Full-time or Part-time Position

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3+ years experience in internal or external audit. CPA/CIA a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational and communications skills are also desired.

A qualified candidate will perform rotational visits to entities that are members of larger, regional not-for-profit organizations. If the candidate desires a full-time position, the part-time rotational work will be supplemented by external audit work in our Assurance & Advisory Services Group. 

Challenging responsibilities include independently and objectively reviewing the appropriateness of transactions to ensure compliance with existing or new organizational procedures and policies. 

The Internal Audit Associate’s role includes a variety of accounting tasks such as:

  • Acquire, analyze and evaluate financial documents for appropriateness and compliance with organization guidelines
  • Identify financial risks and offer recommendations to reduce risk
  • Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
  • Possess and apply knowledge of relevant professional standards, emerging legislation and regulations to ensure that the organization is complying with applicable laws and statutes
  • Actively listen to ensure that client issues or concerns are understood and respond in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Communicate professionally with poise and tact; express ideas clearly and confidently, whether in client meetings, presentations or written communications
  • Independently identify and prioritize issues and workload and complete work within specified time
  • Respect and adhere to client confidentiality in all matters

Accounting Associate

Full-time & Part-time Positions

This position requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with strong academic credentials. Excellent analytical, organizational and written/oral communications skills are also desired.

An Associate in GYF’s Non-Profit Industry Group performs audit, review and compilation services, and works closely with tax exempt organizations to ensure accurate and timely completion of Form 990. Challenging responsibilities include completing audit areas while adhering to time budgets, summarizing and documenting audit procedures, preparing Form 990 tax returns within specified time budgets, and developing relationships with clients.

This individual should be a motivated, ambitious, decisive, self-starter who is committed to high quality work products.

The Accounting Associate’s role includes a variety of accounting tasks such as:

  • Develop an understanding of tax-exempt organizations and businesses and apply that knowledge to ensure that deliverables are prepared in accordance with professional and firm standards.
  • Actively listen to ensure that client issues or concerns are understood and are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner while expressing ideas clearly and confidently, whether in client meetings, presentations, or other written communications.
  • Identify and prioritize issues and workload for self; complete work within specified time budgets.

Audit Staff Associate

This entry-level auditor position requires an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. A willingness to work as part of a team and learn other disciplines is also desired.

A GYF Audit Associate has an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or a Master’s degree in Accountancy or other Business discipline. He/she will work collaboratively with other members of the professional staff in the audit department on financial statement preparation, accounting services, pension plan audits and not-for-profit reporting.

An Audit Associate should also expect exposure to other services offered by the firm, including tax planning/compliance and consulting. The position requires direct client contact and client responsibility.

This mid-level auditor position requires an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of two years of experience in public accounting. 

A GYF Audit Senior Associate should be able to prepare and/or review financial statements with disclosures in accordance with GAAP requirements as well as exhibit the ability to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day engagement activities.

Business Valuation Associate

This entry-level analyst position requires a Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials. Excellent organizational and communications skills are also desired.

A GYF Business Valuation Staff Analyst has an undergraduate dual degree in accounting and finance. The Staff Analyst will conduct valuations of closely held businesses and complete financial modeling and analysis. He/she will also perform industry and economic research, and analyze guideline company and transaction data.

Business Valuation Senior Associate

This mid-level analyst position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Additional professional credentials are a plus.

A GYF Business Valuation Senior Analyst has an undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance. The Senior Analyst is familiar with valuations of closely held businesses and is proficient in financial modeling and analysis. He/she is also experienced at performing industry and economic research, and analyzing guideline company and transaction data.

Challenging responsibilities for the Senior Analyst include completing technically difficult projects while simultaneously reviewing the work of assigned staff, adhering to time budgets, and developing relationships with clients.

Tax Staff Associate

This entry-level tax position requires an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. A willingness to work independently as well as part of a team is also desired.

A GYF Tax Associate has an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He/she will work collaboratively with other members of the professional staff to prepare corporate, partnership, S-corp and personal income tax returns of various complexities.

Challenging responsibilities for the Tax Associate include preparing tax returns within specified time budgets, responding to tax notices, summarizing and documenting research findings, and developing relationships with clients.

This mid-level tax position requires an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and two years of public accounting tax experience. 

A GYF Tax Senior Associate has an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or a Master’s degree in Taxation, Accountancy or other Business discipline. He/she will work collaboratively with other members of the professional staff to prepare and review all types of tax returns, respond to tax notices, summarize and document research findings, and develop relationships with clients.

  • Respects and adheres to client confidentiality in all matters.
  • Understands our clients’ businesses, ensures quality service delivery, offers solutions to identified issues and concludes/resolves those issues before management review, and continually applies the Firm’s mission to all aspects of service.

ERP Consultant

This position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. At least one year of experience in systems applications consulting, especially with software in a SaaS environment, is desired.

A GYF ERP Consultant will be responsible for the delivery of customization services for NetSuite clients. The Consultant will be responsible for serving clients in post-sales environments. He/she must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses.

  • Demonstrated experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions, either as a software solution or a re-engineering initiative.
  • Customer relationship acumen and experienced consulting skills.
  • Experience in Change Management and Business Process Mapping.
  • Experience with software in a SaaS environment including any experience with accounting, web interface and third-party integrations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

ERP Senior Consultant

This position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in systems applications consulting. Client relationship acumen is essential.

A GYF ERP Senior Consultant will be responsible for the delivery of customization services for NetSuite clients. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for managing clients in post-sales environments.

Working with the rest of the ERP Solutions team, this individual will quickly assess client needs, develop innovative plans to solve their problems and implement these plans to the clients’ satisfaction. He/she must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses.
