NetSuite Next: Advanced AI Functionality – Next Lists

With the introduction of NetSuite Next, Oracle has added some new features to improve how AI understands user customizations. This post – and more to follow – will focus on a specific AI feature. See our prior post for details about release 2026.2 or Download a Summary of the Platform-wide AI & UX Overhaul.

NEXT LISTS

The NetSuite Next Lists feature is part of the Redwood UI redesign in NetSuite Next.

What Is It?

Next Lists, which is rolling out with 2026.2, is essentially a modernized replacement for the classic list pages you access under the Lists tab and transaction list views. Record lists have been reimagined with smart filters and search, infinite scrolling, and a consistent, refined layout that makes working through transactions faster and more natural.

How Does It Work?

Based on what is currently known, every record type gets a starter list out of the box. You can customize columns and filters and save those as a custom-named list, which is much more intuitive than the old Customize View → saved search workflow. Infinite scrolling replaces the old paginated 100/200/500-per-page approach, so you just scroll through the full result set. Additional practical changes include:

  • Filters moved to the top of list pages
  • A sticky header with always-available navigation and “Create New”
  • Collapsible field sections

The feature is clearly early. Promotional materials talk about export functionality, and the existing classic lists doc mentions export icons for CSV, Excel, and PDF, however, those updates have not landed in the Redwood version yet.
