Six kids of GYF professionals spent “Take Your Kid to Work Day” at our office getting a taste of what their parents do each day (you can see their initial responses on the whiteboard below.) The kids learned more about the types of projects accountants can work on, through activities including calculating a purchase order, taking an inventory count, and creating a budget. They even learned a kid-friendly version of the accounting equation. The kids also had a chance to work on their marketing skills and get creative with some GYF logo design ideas. There was lots of fun and laughter throughout the day, but the most came when they created silly stories about going to work. We are already looking forward to next year!
